How long will it stay?

How long will birds stay high up in the sky?
How long will they chirp and be merry all day?
How long will the doves stay together as a pair?
How long will he stay so full of warmth and care?

How long will the sun rise before dimming forever?
How long will the sky glow before pouring with tears?
How long will its ray shine, lightening up corners?
How long will our hearts tie, being free from all borders?

How long will the roses bloom in this garden of love?
How long will this spring stay flourishing with colour?
Will a petal drop? Will its colours fade?
Will there ever be a sharp swing in season?

How long will the grapes be so sweet to my taste?
Will they ever turn sour and go all to waste?
Will this wine stay fragrant, or only for a day?
Will its aroma ever escape and fade slowly away?

The sun may set,
The chirping may cease,
Roses may dry up,
Vineyards may barren ...

Yet this will someday all go away,
There will always be another new day,
A rainbow will appear after a light pour of rain,
Yes, the sun will always rise again.

So shower your love with patience and care,
Sprinkle it with kisses, wrap it in hugs,
Secure it with trust, lock those hands together,
True love will always stay.
