Then, Now, and Forever...

When I was wrapped up in a blanket,
Tucked cosily in a little basket,
She sang to me a lullaby,
Till I finally closed my eyes.

When I started to toddle,
Across the floor I tottered and wobbled,
She held me by my little two hands,
Till the day I could firmly stand.

When I started going to school,
Lost in a new world without a clue,
She brought me to class and would not depart,
Till I knew the school by heart.

When I was in a total mess,
Sitting in a corner all depressed,
She gently pulled me into her arms,
Till I was better, till I was calm.

When I left for university,
And had to move to a foreign city,
She went with me and settled me down,
Till I knew my ways around.

Then she craddled me when I was a baby,
Now in front of her she sees a young lady,
Then I was crawling on my little tummy,
Now I look just like my mummy.

My mummy, she is the finest,
My mummy, she is marvelous,
Then, now and forever, she's always the best,
I love you mummy, my mummy dearest.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the Beholder...

Some are prettier,
But none as beautiful.
